In 1967, personnel from the Colombian Air Force founded Instruavia with a clear purpose: to ensure the quality and safety of aeronautical maintenance in Colombia. First Steps (1967-1987)

The creation of Instruavia coincided with a crucial period in aviation history. In 1969, humanity reached the Moon with Apollo 11, demonstrating the power and ambition of aerospace technology. Meanwhile, in Colombia, commercial aviation was rapidly advancing with the opening of new routes and the growth of passenger and cargo transportation. The year 1987 marked an important milestone with the acquisition of Instruavia by the Aeroservicios Técnicos de Colombia business group. In 1988, Instruavia was formally incorporated before the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, strengthening its presence in the Colombian aeronautical sector. In 1994, the dissolution of Aeroservicios Técnicos de Colombia allowed Instruavia to be managed by Demetrio Pardo. Under his leadership, the company strengthened its strategic alliances with national and international airlines, continuously improving its maintenance processes to meet increasingly strict international standards.

A New Leadership (1999-2000s)

In 1999, Rosalba Leal took over the management of Instruavia with a vision focused on technological innovation. Globalization and the accelerated growth of air traffic pushed the industry to continuously improve its practices.
